Introduction
If you’re reading this, you were likely invited to test an unverified Activity from a developer.
Unverified Activities are intended for small-scale building and testing of new ideas. You should only test apps from developers that you trust. If you receive an invitation to test an app you don't recognize and wish to decline, simply ignore and delete the invitation from your email inbox.
If you suspect an unverified application might be violating Discord's rules, you can report it here.
What are unverified Activities?
Developers of unverified activities can invite people to test what they’re building in small, private servers of less than 25 members, and DMs.
These apps are not built by Discord; however, we can take action on apps we believe are breaking Discord’s rules. If you believe an app you’ve been invited to test might be breaking Discord’s rules, you can report it here.

Are unverified Activities safe to use?
Activities are apps that are embedded in an iframe within Discord and are owned and operated by other developers. While they are accessible from within Discord, using an Activity is like being on a website outside of Discord.
As with any website, it may be able to access certain information about you, including your IP address. You should refer to the app’s developer or their privacy policy to learn about their data collection and use practices.
You should only test apps from developers that you trust. Discord will never ask you for your password inside an Activity.
What information can an unverified Activity access?
Activities are not able to access information about your Discord account without your approval. Apps will ask for your approval by showing you this screen, which tells you what they want to access. Clicking “Authorize” will grant the app access to this information.
Some apps may collect non-Discord data when you use them. Refer to the developer or the Activity’s Privacy Policy for information about their data practices.
I don’t want to use the app anymore. How can I turn it off?
If you ever change your mind and no longer want an app you used to access information about you, you can revoke access by going to User Settings > Authorized Apps, and selecting Deauthorize on the application.
If you were invited to the developer team that owns the app, and you want to remove yourself, you can
- Go to the Teams page of our Developer Portal
