This is a great idea I would love to see this feature be implemented.

I'd argue that persistent storage wouldn't even be needed. Imagine it more like the strings that are passed for the state and details, but in this case a encodes image. One overwritten or cleared, I'd simply be trashed. Instead of needing to rewrite the backend to allow modification of application-specific assets through a request, this would simply act as another passed parameter that only exists for that moment.

Needs to be implemented! Even if it's just referencing an applications rich presence asset from a specific verified URL, it'd still be helpful.

I want to use it to display a user's last.fm current scrobbled song, so i would love to update the large_image asset with a url or image i could update depending on the album cover of the current song.

    Would love this feature.

This would be an amazing feature for the SDK!

I am helping work on a plugin that shows what is currently playing in Winamp.  We would love to be able to set the album art instead of a fixed logo of the player.  Spotify does this and it is a great interaction!

People have been requesting this for several years now - when can we expect news from Discord?
